Celebrating a New Engagement in Edinburgh

There is something so exciting about the first few weeks after getting engaged. The ring is still new, the excitement is still fresh, and there is nothing better than finding a way to slow down and celebrate the moment.

These two got engaged just one week before their Edinburgh engagement session and wanted to capture this season of life together. They were visiting Edinburgh and decided to turn their trip into an opportunity to document their engagement, creating beautiful photos they could use to announce their exciting news with family and friends.

For their session, we explored one of my favorite areas of the city: Dean Village, Stockbridge, and the iconic Circus Lane. This area is perfect for a one hour engagement session because it offers so much variety without needing to spend the entire day traveling between locations.

We wandered through quiet streets, stopped at charming corners, and soaked in the cozy Edinburgh atmosphere. From the historic buildings of Dean Village to the soft, romantic feel of Circus Lane, every location added something unique to their gallery.

One of my favorite parts of photographing newly engaged couples is capturing that in-between season. The moment when everything feels exciting, new, and full of possibility.
